Not a bad score at all as if you round it off, it’s actually a perfect TEN already. From the looks of that rating, we can say the Mobi is Good TO READ!

Tom Taylor takes over a new team of X-Men and does wonders with the lineup. With Jean Grey having recently returned from the grave (again), Taylor has set out to redeem the character and make her the leader and hero she should have always been instead of a perpetually dying punchline. Determined to help save mutant kind and foster the peace Professor X always dreamed of, Jean attempts to once again establish a safe haven for mutants (a la Genosha or Utopia), but this time away from human eyes to avoid making the new haven a target. Along with Laura Kinney, Gabby, Gabmit, Storm, Nightcrawler, Namor, and a few new additions, Jean assembles a team to protect mutants and foster peace. Unfortunately, Jean's new plans are immediately put to the test by the return of Cassandra Nova who is using Sentinel-based nanotech to literally infect humans and mutants alike with a disdain for mutant kind. Overall, Taylor's comics are a blast with fantastic artwork. His character beats are some of the best in modern comics (Gabby continues to be one of the best new characters of recent memory after Taylor's run on All New Wolverine). New team member Trinary is also a solid addition, though the second new member Gentle hasn't had enough time to shine just yet. The only issue that some may have with the book is its lack of subtly in conflating the X-Men's new challenges with modern day politics. Issues like fake news, the rise of hate groups in America, and online trolling are all tackled in the book with clear intentions. It is not that I disagree with Taylor's politics (far from it) but I can picture those on the opposite side taking issue with the story or even with some just feeling that the "weaponized hate" plot of the book is a bit too on the nose for political allegory. That said, the book is an absolute winner thanks in most part to Taylor's work on Jean. This is the leader the character should have always been, free from romantic triangle subplots and (for now) free from the Phoenix nonsense as well. Let's hope that this new status quo for Jean remains for awhile as it is a blast to see her fully step into the leadership role the X-Men need with Cyclops, Xavier, and Logan all gone at the moment.
